PASSENGER TRANSPORTATION AND TICKET CANCELLATION/REFUND TERMS & CONDITIONS
1. NATURE AND USE OF THE TICKET
- Tickets issued electronically are valid only for the passenger named on the ticket and are non-transferable and non-assignable.
- The ticket covers transportation only between the ports of departure and arrival specified on the ticket. The ticket price covers only the transportation service; additional services such as accommodation, transportation, transfers, food, and beverages are not included.
2. CHECK-IN AND BOARDING
- The ticket and a valid passport must be presented during check-in.
- The Company is not responsible if the passenger misses the voyage because they are not ready for check-in at the specified time. In this case, no refund will be made.
- The passenger's voyage may be prevented if the security instructions of the port authorities and ship personnel are not followed; in this case, no refund will be made.
3. PASSPORT AND VISA PROCEDURES
- It is the passenger's sole responsibility to ensure the validity of their passport, visa, residence permit, and other travel documents.
- No refund will be made to passengers who are not accepted into the country by the border authorities. The passenger is solely responsible for any penalties, expenses, and administrative sanctions that may arise as a result.
- Passengers have been informed that passengers with a TRNC stamp in their passport are not permitted to enter Greece. The Company is not responsible for any consequences that may arise as a result.
4. CANCELLATION, REFUND, AND CHANGES
- Tickets purchased are non-refundable under any circumstances.
- Passengers may request a one-time free date change no later than 24 hours before the departure time. Any changes beyond this right can be made for a fee of €5 per person.
- Changes to return tickets must be notified no later than 12 hours before the departure time.
- No changes to the date, time, or route can be made to tickets that have been checked in.
5. SCHEDULE AND FORCE MAJEURE
- The Company reserves the right to make any changes it deems necessary to the schedule. These changes may be communicated individually or announced on the website.
- The trip may be canceled or postponed due to reasons beyond the Company's control, such as bad weather and sea conditions, strikes, technical malfunctions, war, natural disasters, or official decisions. In this case, the passenger can only change their ticket to a different date, subject to availability; no refund or compensation will be paid.
- The Company is not responsible for any transportation, accommodation, food, beverage, or similar expenses that the passenger may incur due to cancellations or delays caused by force majeure.
- The Company sells tickets belonging to different ferry operators (“Carrier Companies”) via its website. The performance of the voyage covered by the purchased ticket is entirely subject to the terms and conditions of the relevant Carrier Company. The Carrier Company is solely responsible for any delays, cancellations, technical malfunctions, inability to dock at the port, loss of luggage, or any other problems that may occur during the voyage, and Meander shall have no liability whatsoever.
6. BAGGAGE AND PASSENGER CONDUCT
- Passengers are responsible for packing their baggage securely. Flammable, explosive, dangerous, or prohibited items are strictly prohibited.
- Pets may only be transported upon presentation of the necessary documents and with the approval of the relevant authorities.
- Passengers are obliged to comply with the instructions of the ship's personnel and the safety rules on board. In case of non-compliance, the passenger's journey may be terminated and no refund will be made.
7. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
- Compensation for the passenger's death, injury, or loss/damage of luggage is only possible if the Company's gross negligence or intent is proven.
- The Company shall not be liable for damages arising from force majeure such as terrorism, civil unrest, natural disasters, adverse weather and sea conditions, and decisions of official authorities.
- Passengers are insured under third-party liability insurance in accordance with international transportation rules.
8. COMPETENT COURT AND APPLICABLE LAW
Turkish law shall apply to the resolution of any disputes arising from the application and interpretation of these terms and conditions, and the courts and enforcement offices of Kusadasi shall have exclusive jurisdiction over the resolution of such disputes.
