The journey from Kas to Kastellorizo is made exclusively by passenger ferry, with daily services operating throughout most of the year, though schedules are more frequent during the summer tourist season (April to October).

The ferry crossing takes just 7-20 minutes, making it one of the shortest international sea crossings in the Mediterranean.

To travel, you'll need to book tickets with the ferry companies operating the route — Meis Ferry Lines and Meis Express are the operator — and you must have a valid passport as this is an international journey between Turkey and Greece.

It's recommended to book your ferry tickets at least a day in advance, especially in peak season, and you should arrive at Kas harbor approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour before departure to allow time for passport control and customs procedures.

The ferries depart from Kas's main harbor in the town center and arrive directly at Kastellorizo's picturesque port, where you'll be greeted by the island's iconic neoclassical buildings.

Day-trip tickets are the most common option, typically allowing you to spend 4-6 hours exploring the island before returning to Kas the same day, though overnight stays are also possible if you want more time to experience this tiny Greek gem. Note that vehicles cannot be transported on this route—it's foot passengers only.
